About the Job

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Business Intelligence to lead our Business Intelligence (BI) team.
• As the Head of Business Intelligence, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's BI strategy, managing BI projects, providing actionable insights, overseeing SQL scripting, and possessing, experience in implementing Azure Data Lake.
• This role requires a strong understanding of business processes, advanced analytics, proficiency in SQL scripting, and hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake.

Responsibilities

• BI Strategy Development: Develop and execute the overall BI strategy aligned with the utility company's business objectives. Identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics for improving operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the BI team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Set clear goals, provide feedback, and ensure the team's growth and development.
• Data Management: Oversee the acquisition, integration, and transformation of data from various sources to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Implement best practices for data governance and data quality assurance.
• SQL Scripting: Develop and review SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Ensure that the scripts are optimized for performance and adhere to coding standards.
• Azure Data Lake Implementation: Hands-on experience with the design, setup, and implementation of Azure Data Lake. Utilize Azure Data Lake capabilities for storing and processing big data and integrating it with other Azure services.
• BI Solutions Development: Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including data models, dashboards, reports, and analytics tools. Ensure that the BI solutions meet business requirements and are user-friendly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Business Analysis: Collaborate with key stakeholders across different departments to understand their analytical needs and business challenges. Translate business requirements into actionable insights and data-driven solutions.
• Data Visualization: Create visually compelling and interactive data visualizations to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. Enable self-service analytics for business users, empowering them to make data-driven decisions.
• Data Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and compliance with relevant data privacy regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 12 years’ relevant work experience, from related sector/ organization with relevant experience in data management and analytics
• Strong understanding of the utility industry and its related business processes.

Skills & Competencies:

• Demonstrated expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization techniques.
• Proficient in SQL scripting for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Hands-on experience in implementing Azure Data Lake for big data storage and processing.
• Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in implementing Azure Data Lake for big data storage and processing.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
