A reputable International (EYFS, Primary & Secondary) School is recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT Support Officer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Contract Type: Fixed Term  

Job Summary

• This is a support function that ensures efficient and effective operations of the School’s Information technology systems and infrastructure.
• The Job holder is expected to provide technical assistance, troubleshoot, minimize technology related disruptions and ensure end users maximize productivity.

Job Responsibilities

• Respond to in coming technical support requests from end- users via various channels (phone, email & chat).
• Provide prompt and accurate solutions to IT related issues.
• Diagnose hardware, software and network problems to identify the root cause of issues and implement effective solutions.
• Escalate complex problems to higher level of support or relevant department when necessary.
• Educate users on best practices, basic troubleshooting and efficient use of hardware and software applications.
• Install, configure and update software application, operating systems and hardware components for end users.
• Ensure compliance with the School’s standards.
• Assist in implementing and enforcing cyber security protocols including user authentication, data encryption and malware protection to safeguard sensitive information and systems.
• Provide support for computer hardware peripherals, printers, scanners and others and arrange for repairs as needed.
• Create, modify and de-activate user accounts ensuring appropriate access permissions and security levels are maintained.
• Data back-up and recovery –implement and oversee data back-processes to safeguard against data loss.

Job Requirements

• A Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or any relevant field is preferred
• IT certifications such as Microsoft certified IT professional (MCITP) Cisco  Certified Network Associate CCNA will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in ICT with educational Organization.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills ability to narrow down the cause of an issue and determine a solution.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Basic understanding of HTML and website development and maintenance required within a Google for Education Domain.
• Proven ability to negotiate and work with vendors and consultants.
• Able to resume at Ikoyi by 7:30am.
