Job Title: Product Operations Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos

The Role

• We are seeking a seasoned Product Operations Manager. Your primary focus will be to work closely with product, engineering, and the rest of the cross functional teams to tighten product feedback loops, systemize product development and launches, and help scale product knowledge across the company.
• As a Product Operations Manager, you will be responsible for increasing efficiency and improving collaboration so as to free product managers (and the broader product team) to focus on building an offering that delivers on the company and product strategy.
• You will lead a team of Product Operations Analysts, in supporting and empowering the Product Management team.

Responsibilities

• Strategizing, operationalizing and implementing continuous improvements within the product development process
• Facilitate clear and consistent communication between product and other cross functional teams with a goal to deliver value to the business & the customers.
• Strengthening Product Feedback Loop by overseeing the collection, structuring, and distribution of customer feedback to ensure you’re building the right products and staying focused on your customers’ needs
• Owning and managing the Product Tech Stack or tools for road mapping, prototyping, etc.) that the product team uses
• Collaborating with product managers and the data team to develop product health dashboards covering product adoption, defect trends, and other metrics
• Aligning roadmap and release planning practices between the Product & Engineering teams and the Go to Market teams
• Partnering with product managers to ensure initiatives impacting multiple teams are coordinated and released on time with feature planning milestones met as needed to ensure on time delivery
• Enable Product Team to Run More Experiments
• Directly manage a team of Product Operations Specialists

Required Competency and skillset to be a Waver

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Business or related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working cross functionally in product, tech, consulting or operations. Fintech background is highly preferably
• Understands how products get built; ideally has coached others in agile and lean methodologies
• Strong leadership skills with experience in developing management reporting. Ability to bring stakeholders together a must.
• Data driven.
• Customer-centric.
• Loves creating efficiencies and streamlined processes
• High EQ.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Previous experience in financial technology or related domains is highly desirable.
• Leadership and mentorship skills to guide and inspire team members.
