Job Title: Vice-Chancellor

Location: Ekpoma, Edo

The Position

• The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the University and shall exercise general supervision over the University.
• The Vice-Chancellor shall be responsible to the Governing Council of the University for the day-to-day management of the human, financial, and material resources of the University.

Eligibility Of Candidate

• Candidate must be a renowned professor of international repute of not less than Ten (10) years standing with a Doctorate Degree in one of the fields offered in the University.
• Should possess considerable administrative experience within the University to foster the advancement of learning, research, and innovation.
• Must have the highest moral standards, impeccable character, and proven integrity with an irrevocable commitment to best corporate practice and governance.
• Must have varied professional networks and linkages, have entrepreneurial and innovative abilities with the capacity to generate resources for the sustainable growth and development of the University to achieve its strategic goals.
• Must be proficient in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
• Must be a person of pleasant disposition, unassailable integrity, who enjoys good physical and mental health, i.e. free from any inhibiting health condition.
• Must not have (any) criminal record or a prior conviction for any criminal offense/financial crime.
• Must not be older than 63 years of age at the close of this advertisement.

Condition of Service

• The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only.
• The remuneration and other conditions of service are as spelt out by the enabling University Laws and Regulations of the University.
