Oversee operational activities at every level of an organization
Strategises process improvements to ensure everyone completes their tasks on schedule.
Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
Formulate strategic and operational objectives
Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
Manage budgets and forecasts
Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
Recruit, train and supervise staff
Find ways to increase quality of customer service
Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews;
Prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
Manage overall operations and responsible for the effective and successful management of labour, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set for the Operations Department.
Ensure safe and efficient operations. Serve as a company representative on regulatory issues.
Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws.
Ensures proper operations and project planning, assigning, and directing work; authoring and discussing with employees performance appraisals; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards.
Organizing the budget of the company in collaboration with the Director/MD.
Communicate customer issues with the operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings
Work closely with the inventory officer and team to perform an analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data, and reducing sub-rental expenses.
Requirements and Skills
Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of proven operations experience.
Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role
Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
Furniture knowledge and Quality Control is an added advantage
Experience budgeting and forecasting
Familiarity with business and financial principles
Excellent communication skills.
Leadership ability.
Outstanding organizational skills
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Social Sciences, or other related fields.
Ability to prioritise, and manage time effectively
Excellent telephone etiquette.
Furniture knowledge and FMCG is an added advantage.
Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 monthly (Gross pay)
