Job Description

• We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Lifestyle and Entertainment Editor to join our dynamic team, who is also interested in covering Fashion. 
• As a Lifestyle Editor, you will be responsible for producing engaging and captivating content, overseeing the fashion section of our website, and ensuring the publication of high-quality articles that resonate with our audience.
• If you have a passion for lifestyle and fashion, a keen eye for trends, and excellent writing skills, we invite you to apply.

Responsibilities

• Write and publish 7 stories per day related to lifestyle, entertainment and fashion, including news, features, interviews, and listicles.
• Create and publish 3-5 listicles per week, focusing on different fashion topics, trends, and style inspiration.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest entertainment and fashion news, events, and industry developments in Lagos, Nigeria, and internationally.
• Attend fashion and other entertainment events in Lagos to provide real-time coverage, including interviews with designers, models, and industry experts.
• Establish and maintain a network of contacts in the fashion industry, including designers, fashion critics, stylists, and other industry professionals.
• Conduct interviews with celebrities, designers, models, and other fashion personalities to gather insights, quotes, and exclusive content.
• Work closely with the editorial team to brainstorm ideas, plan content calendars, and contribute to the overall editorial strategy.
• Monitor audience engagement and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and optimize content strategies.
• Stay informed about SEO best practices and incorporate them into fashion content to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings.

‍Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Fashion, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Fashion Editor or similar role, preferably in a digital media publication.
• Strong writing and editing skills with impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
• In-depth knowledge of the fashion industry, including designers, brands, trends, and fashion history.
• Excellent understanding of digital publishing platforms, content management systems, and social media channels.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality content consistently.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in SEO optimization techniques and digital analytics tools.
• Exceptional communication and networking skills to establish and maintain relationships with industry professionals.
• Creative mindset with the ability to generate unique and engaging fashion content ideas.
• Familiarity with Nigerian and African fashion trends and designers is a plus.
