Our landmark achievements with care and treatment services for adolescents and young persons in Nigeria continue to bring the organization to the attention of the international community. With support and input from varied stakeholders, STEM Hub for Empowerment of young women (S.H.E) project's new and innovative approach is designed to encourage the increased participation of adolescent girls and young women in the traditional male spaces of technology, digital skills, and financial literacy. Located in Ikeja, Lagos, the state-of-the-art STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Hub started operations for vulnerable adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) between the ages of 16 and 24 years. They will have the opportunity to participate in youth-friendly training at no cost, following a standardized curriculum with a focus on obtaining standard and globally accredited certifications.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Support Lead Instructors:
Assist lead instructors in delivering coding lessons, workshops, and hands-on projects.
Help students with coding exercises, answer questions, and provide additional support during coding activities.
Classroom Management:
Assist in maintaining an organized and engaging learning environment, ensuring that students remain focused and on task.
Help with setting up equipment, computers, and coding tools.
Assessment and Feedback:
Assist in evaluating students' progress and coding assignments.
Provide feedback and guidance to students, encouraging them to improve their coding skills.
Individualized Support:
Offer one-on-one assistance to students who need extra help or wish to explore advanced coding concepts.
Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where all students can succeed.
Mentoring and Role Modeling:
Be a positive role model, inspiring young females to consider careers in technology and coding.
Share insights into opportunities available in the tech industry.
Coding Enrichment Activities:
Participate in coding-related events, hackathons, and workshops.
Encourage students to explore coding outside the classroom and participate in coding competitions.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with lead instructors and hub staff to develop and deliver coding programs and projects.
Engage with parents, guardians, and community partners to promote coding and tech education.
Qualifications
Passion for coding and a strong interest in technology and education.
Previous experience with coding and programming (formal education or self-taught).
Effective communication skills and the ability to explain coding concepts clearly.
Patience, adaptability, and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
A willingness to learn and assist with classroom tasks.
Basic computer and technology proficiency.
