Director of Works and Services at Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic (HAFEDPOLY)

Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic (HAFEDPOLY) is located in Kazaure, Jigawa State, Nigeria. It was founded in December 1991 as Jigawa State Polytechnic, with four colleges in different locations. These were the College of Engineering, Science, and Technology at Kazaure, the College of Business and Management Studies at Dutse, the College of Islamic and Legal Studies at Ringim, and the College of Agriculture at Hadejia. The Central Administration is also located at Kazaure.

The purpose of the college is to "provide technical and practical oriented training to meet the manpower requirements for the Industrial and Economic development of Nigeria. The college was renamed Hussaini Adamu Polytechnic in 1998, in honor of the former emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Hussaini Adamu. It became a federal polytechnic in January 2007. In February 2009, the institution held its first convocation ceremony, giving out certificates and national diplomas to 6,024 students who had graduated between 1992 and 2008.

Functions

• The Director of Works and Services is a Management staff answerable to the Rector and heads the Directorate of Works and Services, coordinates, supervises and maintains the physical development, transportation, general maintenance services and projects of the Polytechnic in such a way as to ensure quality and standard.

Qualifications and Experiences
Interested candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Good honours Degree in any of the Engineering disciplines from a recognized University. Possession of Master's Degree / PhD will be an added advantage.
• Membership registration with NSE and COREN.
• A Chief Engineer with Minimum of 15 years cognate experience in Tertiary Institution.
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of relevant engineering soft wares.

The Person:

• The Director of Works and Services must be a person of high integrity, who demonstrate transparency in public and private lives and command the respect and loyalty of staff under their purview.
• They must also be receptive to new ideas and should be able to translate them into action in line with the vision and mission of the Polytechnic.

Terms of Appointments of the Position

• Salary is CONTEDISS 15
• Other terms and conditions of appointment are as provided by the conditions of service of the Federal Polytechnics in Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
