Accountant and Hotel Manager at a Company

A private Nigerian Group of companies comprising a number of Business Units spanning stone quarrying, property development, hospitality and warehousing/retail businesses requires a highly motivated and diligent individual who will ensure that all the financial transactions of the respective Business Units are properly captured, recorded and reported in line with accounting principles and procedures.

Job Title: Accountant
Locationn: Abuja

Responsibilities:

• Capture and document all the financial transactions of the Business Units
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, etc
• Prepare and review budgets, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices and other accounting documents
• Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels and ensure expenditure control
• Demonstrate a commanding knowledge of the Group’s computerised accounting system
• Prepere Profit & toss statements and other accounting Reports
• Perform other duties as would be required meet the goals of the Group

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of BSc/HND
• Registration with ICAN (ACCA)
• 12 years experience on the job without ICAN will also be considered.
• 3 years experience on SAGE accounting Software
• Minimum of 5 years cognate experience including in one or more of the Group’s business areas
• Ability to use computer-based accounting techniques and packages
• Fluency in computer word processing including Excel and Power Point presentation techniques
• DIligent and ability to diagnose and resolve acvountlng and accounting-related challenges
• Residency in Abuja may confer an added advantage

Job Title: Hotel Manager
Location; Abuja

Responsibilities:

• Must be responsible for the day-to-day management of a hotel and its staff.
• Be responsible for commercial accountability, budgeting and financial management, planning, organising and directing all hotel services.
• Should have a specific remit on (guest services, accounting, and marketing)
• Must be responsible to effectively work with your team and business development.
• Should take a strategic overview and planning ahead to maximize profIts.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Mlriimunof BSc/HND
• Minimum of 7 years cognate experience including in one or more of the Group’s business areas
• AbilIty to use Hotel-based software techniques and packages
• Fluency in computer word processing including Excel and Power PoInt presentation techniques
• Diligent and ability to diagnose and resolve problems and management-related challenges
• Residency in Abuja may confer an added advantage
