Job Overview

• We are seeking a meticulous and engaging Business Support Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting and entering data accurately, liaising with artists to collate artwork details, and supporting the onboarding of artist profiles onto our website.
• This role extends to content curation for social media, conducting and recording interviews, and handling various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with artists to gather comprehensive information about their artwork, including descriptions, dimensions, and pricing.
• Precisely input all artwork data into the company’s database to ensure that artist profiles and artworks are accurately represented on the art.africa website.
• Conduct thorough interviews with artists to delve into their creative process and background for editorial and promotional purposes.
• Curate engaging and relevant content for our social media platforms, reflecting the diversity and creativity of the artists we represent.
• Record high-quality video and audio interviews, capturing the essence of the artists and their work for a wider audience.
• Manage office administrative tasks with efficiency, including email correspondence, diary management, and acting as a liaison officer between artists, clients, and the internal team.
• Ensure that all content adheres to the company’s style and quality standards.
• Participate in team meetings and provide updates on project statuses.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data entry or a similar role within the arts sector is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Proficiency in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems.
• Experience in content creation for social media and basic multimedia editing skills.
• Comfortable with conducting and recording interviews.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and strong interpersonal skills.
• Passion for the arts and familiarity with the creative industry is a plus.
