Team Purpose
The Clinical services Unit (CSU) is the main services delivery unit of the organization and responsible for the delivery of both quantitative and qualitative key program performance targets.
The unit Contributes to health system strengthening through provision of systematic and purposeful knowledge and skill transfer to supported facility’s health workers through a structured and effective engagement.
Relevant skills and knowledge are aligned with the organizational and grant’s goal of building people and sustainable systems through learning.
This unit prepare all intended beneficiaries through the adapting of the organizational learning culture with a view to developing self-confidence, creative, system thinking, communications and feedback skills in program implementation.
In collaboration with prevention and priority population unit, the CSU reviews and analyzes sites performance, identify implementation bottle necks and provide structured approaches to improve performance as well as recommends possible solutions to mitigate services disruptions.
Job Description
The incumbent will aim to improve the well-being of children and adolescents who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and the household members at the community by providing their social-economic, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
S/he will provide technical support to CBO staff to ensure the OVC program activities implemented at the point of delivery/communities through the engaged CBO partners are in line with best practices/national guidelines to Favor all beneficiaries in the program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
support the implementation of OVC program activities in line with national guidelines
Provide mentoring and coaching for state staff, CBO staff and OVC social workers at the point of service delivery
Review monthly programmatic performance reports from state and CBOs and health facilities
Strengthen linkages between CBOs and state and LGA structures for improved coordination of OVC service delivery planning and implementation at the community level
support the organization to meet the established OVC program goals and objectives and planned outputs and outcomes, and these results are documented.
In collaboration with the clinical team ensure the institution of screening for common opportunistic infections as part of the service package for OVC at health facility and community levels
In collaboration with the CSU provide comprehensive services to adolescent and young women
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree in any field
At least 3 years experience in OVC or OVC related field in the PEPFAR program
Computer literacy
Competency in writing and spoken English
Ability to work in a team.
