Position Background
The S.H.E project, is an innovative approach conceptualized to increase the participation of adolescent girls and young women in the traditional male spaces of technology, digital skills and financial literacy. Located in Ikeja, Lagos, the state of art STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Hub will empower vulnerable adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) through digital, technological and life skills training and support. While, the Business Incubation Hub (BICH) are set up across the states to provide skill training and business start up support for adolescents and young persons to empower them financially to address Low socioeconomic status and food insecurity driving the HIV epidemic among these vulnerable populations in Nigeria.
Job Purpose
The technical assistant will provide day-to-day support to the hub’s officers in ensuring they operates smoothly while providing updates to the associate director AP3 who S/He reports to. S/H/e will be the county office liaison for these sites, providing sites end-to-end visibility for processes and performance to the Associate Director AP3. S/He will also liaise with service users for feedback to refine interventions packages.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the hub officers in the enrollment of adolescents to these hubs.
Work with hub officers and the supervisor to identify and connect enrollees to industry mentors
Work with hub officers and the supervisor to link enrollees to identified businesses and funding opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in any field of study with at least 1-year post-NYSC
Experience working in corporate settings or customer care-related services
Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft office
Understanding and demonstratable good work ethics; self-motivated, passionate and driven, critical thinking, good time management and ability to work under pressure
Willingness to commit at least 2 years to this position
Been a young woman is an added advantage
Ability to communicate well in both written and oral English
