Job Description
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and laws. Develop and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements affecting the business. Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
Provide expert advice on tax planning and regulatory matters to clients or internal stakeholders. Assist in developing strategies to optimize financial performance within legal frameworks.
Identify and assess potential tax and regulatory risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Understand their business needs and provide tailored tax and regulatory solutions.
Supervise and manage a team of tax and regulatory professionals. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process related to tax and regulatory matters.
Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies related to tax and regulatory compliance.
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations. Conduct research to understand the impact on the business and provide recommendations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all tax and regulatory activities. Ensure documentation complies with relevant standards.
Effectively communicate complex tax and regulatory concepts to both internal teams and external clients. The ability to convey information clearly and concisely is essential.
Inspire and motivate a team of professionals. Guide them toward common goals and foster a positive work environment.
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex tax and regulatory issues. Develop creative and strategic solutions to challenges.
Pay meticulous attention to details in regulatory compliance, documentation, and reporting.
Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. This includes managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
An Advanced Degree or professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is required.

Extensive experience in tax and regulatory compliance, focusing on Nigerian regulations.
Strong understanding of local and international tax laws.
