Job Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in the finance team, overseeing and managing the financial activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with various departments to provide strategic financial insights and support business decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks, providing insights to aid in strategic decision-making.
• Develop and manage budgets, support forecasting activities, and provide variance analysis.
• Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring smooth and successful audit processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls within the finance function.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as procurement, sales, and operations to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Requirements

• B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or related field.
• Previous Experience as an auditor
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at various levels.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• High ethical standards and integrity in handling financial matters.

Salary
N250,000 / month.
