Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Management Specialist to join our team.
As a Contract Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all contracts are well-drafted, compliant, and executed efficiently.
Your expertise in law, economics, and political science will be crucial in navigating complex contractual arrangements.
Roles and Responsibilities
Contract Drafting and Review: Prepare, review, and negotiate various contracts, including agreements with vendors, suppliers, partners, and clients. Ensure that contracts align with legal requirements and organizational policies.
Compliance Management: Monitor contract compliance, ensuring that all parties fulfill their obligations. Identify and mitigate potential risks and conflicts arising from contractual arrangements.
Contract Administration: Oversee the administration and management of contracts throughout their lifecycle. Keep detailed records, track deliverables, and handle contract amendments and extensions as required.
Legal and Regulatory Research: Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and best practices in contract management.
Dispute Resolution: Act as a mediator in case of contractual disputes and work towards amicable resolutions. Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary to resolve complex issues.
Financial Analysis: Conduct economic and financial analysis of proposed contracts, evaluating cost-benefit implications and ensuring the financial viability of agreements.
Negotiation and Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate favorable terms and conditions. Communicate contract-related information clearly and effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in contract management, with a minimum of three years in a similar role
Strong understanding of legal principles, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex contractual arrangements.
Proficient in financial analysis and understanding economic implications of contracts.
Outstanding negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in contract drafting and review.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple contracts simultaneously.
Knowledge of project management principles is a plus.
