Application For Admission Into Basic Studies (IJMB) And Remedial Programmes (UTME, SSCE) For 2012/2013 Academic Session

1.) Basic Programme (IJMB)

This is an 18 months advanced level Interim Joint Matriculation Board Programme in Science, Social & Management Science, and Arts and Languages affiliated to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. Successful candidate are eligible for admission in to 200 level in to the University through JAMB’s direct entry option. Details of the options are as follows:

Admission Entry Requirement

Five (5) level credits in relevant subjects at WAEC/NECO/NABTEB and which must include English Language and Mathematics at not more sittings two (2) sittings.

2.) Remedial UTME Programme:

This is a nine (9) months (one academic session) programme in Science, Social & Mgt Sciences, and Arts and Languages. The programme prepares candidates for UTME and which qualify successful candidates to secure admission at 100 level in the University ND1 in the Polytechnic, and NCE1 in Colleges of Education through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted by JAMB.

Admission Requirements:

Five (5) level credits in relevant subjects which must include Mathematics and English Language at SSC WAEC, NECO, NABTEB (NTC, NBC) and at not more sittings two (2) sittings

3.) Remedial SSC Programme:

This is a nine (9) months (one academic session) programme in Science, Social & Mgt Sciences, and Arts and Languages and prepares to re-sit ‘O’ level examinations either of WAEC, NECO, NABTEB towards remedying ‘O’ level deficiencies which will qualify them to write UTME.

Admission Requirements:

Two relevant credits at SSC: WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB. Candidates for the programme must possess two (2) credits at SSC/NTC/NBC at not more two (2) sittings.

Method Of Application:
Application forms in respect of programme in 1-3 are obtainable from the following centres on the presentation of non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N2,500) only to be paid into any of the following accounts:

• First Bank PLC Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State. 
• Access Bank (Canteen Daji) Gusau, Zamfara State.
• Access Bank (BIda Road) Kaduna, Kaduna State.

All completed application forms regardless of where they are purchased must be returned to:

Together with one self-addressed envelope measuring 22 by 11cm and photocopy of the teller receipt of the purchase of the form. The envelope must be marked "SRBS 2012/2013"Admission. Please note that application forms not properly completed will not be processed.

Note:

The SRBS Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda is an accredited centre and selling point for scratch cards of NABTEB for the May/June Examinations and Nov/Dec Examinations for NTC, NBC, ANTC and ANBC respectively.
