Job Title: Head of IT

Main Objective of the Job
To enhance the effectiveness of business operations through the efficient use and adoption of Information Technology and Communication. The job holder is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software, and networks within the company
Responsibilities / Deliverables / Outcome
Manage IT Business Relationship:
Responsible for presentation and defending of IT performance to the management performance review committee.
Responsible for working with MD office on IT business investment and project management
Responsible for working with buying and merchandising Unit Teams to ensure IT support in execution of buying and merchandising duties and also resolve IT complaints
Responsible for working with Finance and Account Unit Teams to ensure IT support in execution of finance and account duties and also resolve IT complaints
Responsible for working with Human Resources teams to ensure IT support HR duties and also resolve IT complaints
Responsible for working with the internal control team to ensure IT Support the duties of internal control and also resolve IT complaints
Management Report:
Monthly Support Center IT Gaps and Requirement Report
Monthly Production IT Gaps and Requirement Report
Execution of IT Projects:
Engage business units in developing IT project task and timelines
Ensuring IT project timeliness are achieved
Manage IT project risk
Develop and Ensure Compliance to IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
Develop, review, and implement IT policies and procedures for the organization
Train staff on IT policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with the IT complaints log process
Ensure compliance with IT hardware infrastructure management Processes- Surveillance Cameras, Printers, Servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, internet routers, disk drives, Sound system, UPS, etc.
Ensure compliance with IT processes on system administrator account, network security and firewalls, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, and file integrity, confidentiality, installation, configuration, maintenance, synchronization, and file exchange
Ensure compliance with IT vendor services agreements software developers, website administrators, etc. to ensure timely delivery on third-party IT projects.
IT Performance Reporting:
Responsible for providing the following Monthly IT reports- IT Project task and timeliness report, IT unit operating cost, IT SOPs compliance checklist report, IT business unit complaints log report, business unit rating of IT support services report, IT risk mitigation report, staff IT training needs report, IT vendors risk assessment report and any other ad-hoc IT reports
IT Staff Leadership, Coaching and Development:
Develops an excellent organization by actively supporting the development of individuals within the IT unit through personal development planning, coaching and mentoring.
Proactively manage the performance of the IT team towards the achievement of the organization's business goals and objectives.
Training IT Staff and other staff on any changes required to processes and procedures and be able to drive and motivate the IT team in meeting set goals and objectives.
Job Requirements
Education / Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Sciences, Engineering, or any related discipline. IT Certification is an added advantage.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar IT role within a structured corporate environment.
Knowledgeable in the use of the Internet, Microsoft Office Suites, and other electronic office equipment.
Proficient with the use of enterprise management software is very important
Networking, Technical IT hardware, Database Management and Troubleshooting Skills
