Job Description

• Are you a seasoned Credit Operations Manager with a passion for leading teams and optimizing credit processes? Join our dynamic team at Sujimoto and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our credit operations.

Responsibilities

• Team Management. Lead and manage a team of credit analysts, underwriters, and loan officers. Provide guidance, training, and support to foster a positive work environment.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure effective credit processes, customer acquisition, and loan disbursement. Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as credit bureaus and regulatory authorities.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on credit portfolio performance, delinquency rates, default rates, and key credit metrics. Conduct analysis to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in credit risk management, underwriting, or related roles within the financial services industry. Previous leadership or managerial experience is preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, financial statement analysis, and risk assessment techniques. Ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed credit decisions.
• Knowledge of Fintech and Technology: Familiarity with financial technology innovations and digital lending platforms. Understanding of emerging trends in the fintech industry and their impact on credit operations.
• Risk Management: Solid knowledge of credit risk management principles, including credit scoring, credit policies, and risk mitigation strategies. Experience in developing and implementing credit risk models is a plus.
• Compliance Expertise: Thorough understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, such as consumer lending laws, data privacy regulations, and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. Ability to ensure compliance within credit operations.
• Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
