Job Title: Farm Manager

Location: Kobape, Ogun

Job Description

• Position for a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to take the helm at a brand-new agricultural venture in Kobape, Ogun State.

Key Responsibilities

• Farm Development: To lead the transformation of a virgin site into a thriving agricultural venture.
• Plantation Management: To manage a plantation plan for Cassava, Tomato, Plantain, Cashew, Maize, Melon and Watermelon.
• Agronomic Savvy: To deploy good understanding of agronomics principles and soil chemistry to maximize crop yields and promote sustainable farming practices.
• Develop and implement strategies for planting, harvesting, irrigation, pest control, and fertilization.
• Ability to manage both farm and workers on a day-to-day basis to maximise plant production and yield.
• Willingness to do manual farm work when necessary.
• Engagement and coordination of workers contracts, sales of farm products and management of inventory.
• Daily report and accountability to farm supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
• Hands-On Experience: Proven practical experience in farm management regardless of size of farm.

Desirable but not essential:

• Resident in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Starting Salary Range

• N35,000 - N50,000 monthly depending on experience.
