Job Title: Plant Manager

Location: Ota, Ogun

Job Summary

• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day to day operations to exceed management expectation. Review and drive plant safety system and target zero lost time accident
• Increase production, asset capability and flexibility, why minimizing unnecessary cost and maintaining best quality standard.
• Planning and controlling manpower resources, succession planning of the workforce, appraising overall plant staff performance, and Effective Selection of best staff working inside factory
• Coordinate and cooperate with human resources to Handle IR Issues ,
• Implementation and review of Food & Beverages Standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and 5s inside the plant.
• Manage line efficiency /productivity and implement or recommend corrective measures
• Review plant raw and packaging wastages and recommend or implement corrective actions to bring within control
• Review equipment performance losses and coordinate with the maintenance and equipment manager to correct observed gaps and to implement preventive maintenance
• Takes overall responsibility in meeting daily targets factoring on time delivery, cost, quality and quantity.
• Takes overall responsibility of the manufacturing unit in order to meet production targets and delivery schedule within the framework of quality, cost of production and statutory requirement laid down by the organization.
• Responsible for RMPM for the factory including wastage reduction
• Ensures quality of products as per specifications.
• Ensures adherence to production plan and timelines
• Takes overall responsibility for the people capability development of the employees at the plant.
• Fulfills statutory requirements and coordinates with the Plant HR in-charge in ensuring good industrial climate in the unit.
• Ensures periodic preventive maintenance activities based on production schedules ensuring optimization of resource utilization.
• Ensures adherence to production budget and periodically monitors actual production costs vis-à-vis budgeted costs.
• Takes responsibility for people development initiatives and building up of in-house capabilities.

Requirements

• Must have B.Sc/ B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in similar position required.
• Experience in a similar role in milk/ bottling Industry is a must.
• Professional certification in engineering is an added advantage
• People management skill is a must.
• Attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple priorities
• Creative and strategic thinker
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in a similar role in milk/ bottling Industry is a must.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 / Month (Gross).
