Job Title: University Librarian

Location: Amizi, Abia

Job Description

• The University Librarian is a Principal Officer and an Academic Staff.
• He/she is the head of the University Library, responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the administration of the University Library and the co- ordination of Library services in the University, across its teaching and research units.

Eligibility Criteria
An interested candidate must possess the following:

• A Master's Degree in Library & Information Science, plus specialized ICT skills;
• A professional qualification from the Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria;
• Sufficient evidence of scholarship, demonstrated through publications in scholarly journals and books;
• He/she must have attained the rank of Deputy Librarian in a University.

Salary and Conditions of Service

• The salary and Conditions of Service is attractive and comparable with top Nigerian private universities.
• Tenure: Candidates shall hold office for a single term of five years only, on such terms and conditions, specified ab initio, in their Letters of Appointment and any others approved, from time to time, by the Governing Council. In all cases, appropriate cognate experience (i.e. previous/current service in the substantive position) will be an advantage.
