Position Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health & Safety Engineer with expertise in City Water Reticulation.
• The ideal candidate will not only possess a strong background in health and safety protocols but also have hands-on experience managing water projects.

Responsibilities
Health & Safety Compliance:

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols on city water reticulation sites.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

• Identify potential health and safety risks associated with water projects, especially in city water reticulation systems.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.

City Water Reticulation Expertise:

• Apply specialized knowledge in city water reticulation systems to ensure that projects meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate health and safety measures seamlessly into water reticulation projects.

Incident Investigation and Reporting:

• Lead investigations into health and safety incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations for preventive measures.
• Ensure timely reporting of incidents to relevant authorities and internal stakeholders.

Training and Awareness:

• Conduct training sessions for project teams on health and safety protocols, emphasizing city water reticulation nuances.
• Foster a safety-conscious culture by promoting awareness and best practices among all project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Engineer, preferably with a focus on city water reticulation.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
• Experience managing water projects, with a strong understanding of city water reticulation systems.
• Certification in Health & Safety (e.g., CSP, CHST) is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
