We are seeking to hire an experienced and competent Document Controller who will be responsible for accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents.
He/She will control the numbering, sorting, filing, storing, and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by technical teams, projects, or departments.
Responsibilities
Copy, scan, and store documents
Check for accuracy and edit files
Review and update technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows)
Distribute project-related copies to internal teams
File documents in physical and digital records
Create templates for future use
Retrieve files as requested by employees and clients
Manage the flow of documentation within the organization
Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement
Updating manpower position and work allocation reports daily as received from Site Engineers
Corresponding on behalf of the Project Managerwith the Main Contractor, Client, Consultant, and Sub-contractors
Reviewing documents, checking they comply with regulations, creating revisions, and archiving outdated versions
Able to use an electronic document management system (EDMS)such as Sharepoint, to index, store, and retrieve a wide variety of document types such as engineering drawings
Controlling company and project documentation
Following and improving document control procedures
Ensuring all documentation meets formal requirements and required standards
Producing document progress reports for senior managers
Conducts regular reviews and document audits
Helping in the planning stages of a specific project
Ensure documents are shared at key times to facilitate timely project completion
Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed.
Requirements / Skills

Experience:
3 - 5 Years.
Proven work experience as a Document Controller or similar role
Familiarity with project management
Must be working in an Engineering Company.
Experience with Mechanical Engineering and Plumbing (MEP) will be an added advantage.
