We are recruiting passionate, self-motivated, and highly qualified individuals to fill the underlisted vacant position below, in the Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRiN) team:
The ANRiN intervention will be implemented in 12 LGAs with focus on nutritional counselling and distribution of nutrition product to be conducted at community level.
The project requires LGA Coordinators to manage intervention within a specific LGA to enhance quality of intervention and reduce security risk of state nutrition team who otherwise would be on the road frequently.
Job-role
The successful candidate will perform the following functions:
Coordinate delivery of a combination of Basic Package of Nutrition Services (BPNS) counselling and Nutrition /Health product distribution at the community level.
Reside within the confines of the local government and create a binding force and a clearing house for the IPCAs and the community structures to facilitate the distribution of the commodities.
Work with relevant community structures to enhance stakeholders support for the project including identifying distributors of the commodities within the target communities.
Lead the training and continuous capacity building of the distributors to ensure a successful project outcome.
Provide logistic support and supervise IPCAs to achieve seamless distribution of commodities.
Support harmonizes the commodity management activities and reconcile commodities and activities within the local government.
Manage Grievance Response mechanism to resolve any bottlenecks that may arise during the commodity distribution.
Ensure the development of budget and work plan for BPNS in the LGA on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Support the accountability process in compliance to SFH, State government and World Bank financial rules and regulations.
Documents best practices and /lessons learned from ANRiN operations at the LGA
Facilitate monthly review meetings
Articulate and submit regular report to the direct supervisor to meet the stipulated targets
Qualifications/Experience
B.Sc/HND in Nutrition, Biological Sciences, or other Health related fields.
3 years of experience in managing nutrition or other health projects at state or local level.
Experience working with health data using electronic system.
Experience working with communities with ability to guide demand creation activities.
Skills and Competencies required:
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to use MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
