Job Title: Civil / Structural Engineer

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to identify project requirements and constraints.
• Managing all Civil/Structural design activities and an interface between design and construction teams to ensure constructability of all design deliverables.
• Prepare Structural design and deliverables for feasibility studies, conceptual/basic engineering, FEED, and DED.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil engineering aspects into overall project plans.
• Prepare project cost estimates and timelines, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring quality control and compliance with design specifications.
• Monitor and manage project progress, identifying and resolving issues to meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals and permits.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in civil engineering for the oil and gas sector.
• Perform any other duty that may be assigned by Supervisor/Engineering Manager.

Qualifications / Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Must be COREN certified
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, with a focus on oil and gas projects.
• Knowledge of major engineering and design software such as AutoCAD 2D, SACS and STAAD.Pro.
• Conversant with National and International Codes, Standards, and Engineering Practices used in the industry AISC, Eurocodes, other relevant international standards, and company specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
