We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Content Creator / Writer / Email Marketing Specialist

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy: Develop a content strategy aligned with the overall marketing goals, target audience, and brand identity.
  • Content Creation: Write high-quality, engaging, and informative content for various marketing channels, including blog posts, articles, website copy, social media updates, and more.
  • SEO Optimization: Incorporate SEO best practices into content creation, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and creating content that ranks well in search engine results.
  • Research: Conduct thorough research to gather information, data, and insights necessary to create accurate and valuable content.
  • Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for grammar, style, and accuracy to ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Content Calendar: Create and manage a content calendar to plan content releases and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
  • Audience Engagement: Monitor audience feedback and comments, respond to inquiries, and engage with readers to build a community and foster loyalty.
  • Content Promotion: Collaborate with other marketing professionals to promote content effectively through social media, email marketing, and other distribution channels.
  • Content Performance Analysis: Analyze content performance metrics, such as page views, engagement rates, and conversions, to adjust content strategies and improve results.
  • Email Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute email marketing strategies to achieve specific marketing objectives, such as lead generation, customer retention, or product promotion.
  • Email Campaign Creation: Create compelling email content, including subject lines, body text, and calls-to-action, while adhering to email best practices and regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM Act).
  • Email List Management: Segment email lists based on various criteria to deliver targeted and personalized email campaigns.
  • Automation: Set up and manage email marketing automation workflows for tasks like welcome emails, drip campaigns, and abandoned cart emails.
  • A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing on email campaigns to optimize subject lines, content, and design for improved open rates and click-through rates.
  • Design and Layout: Collaborate with design teams or use email marketing software to create visually appealing email templates and layouts.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor email campaign performance, track key metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates), and generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of email marketing efforts.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all email marketing practices comply with relevant regulations, such as the CAN-SPAM Act or GDPR.
  • List Growth: Implement strategies to grow the email subscriber list through various channels, including website opt-ins, social media, and events.
  • Personalization: Incorporate personalization techniques to make email content more relevant to individual recipients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Content Creator, Writer, or Email Marketing Specialist.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in developing and executing successful email marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and tools.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Strong understanding of brand messaging and the ability to maintain brand consistency.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
