Job Title: Pharmaceutical Machine Operator

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Operate pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, ensuring proper setup and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor and control machines to meet production specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct routine quality checks on products during the production process.
• Identify and address any deviations or abnormalities in product quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to the maintenance department.
• Maintain accurate and detailed production records, including batch logs and equipment operation logs.
• Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas according to established procedures.
• Follow cleaning validation protocols to ensure equipment cleanliness.
• Work closely with other members of the production team, quality control, and maintenance to achieve production goals.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as necessary.
• Report complex technical issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving machine operation and production processes.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory standards.
• Participate in audits and inspections as required.

Education

• High School, Diploma or equivalent.
• Additional technical education or certifications in machine operation is a plus.

Experience:

• Previous experience as a machine operator, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.
• Familiar with the operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow technical manuals and SOPs. Strong attention to detail in monitoring equipment and product quality.
• Effective verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues.
• Ability to adapt to changes in production schedules and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and promoting a culture of safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
