Job Title: Production Division Head
Location: Isolo, Lagos
Responsibilities
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and product delivery requirements.
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to ensure production plans align with overall business goals.
Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
Monitor production metrics and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
Manage and optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Ensure efficient utilization of production assets while maintaining a safe working environment.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that products meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
Implement and monitor quality control processes to identify and address deviations.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
Lead and motivate production teams to achieve production targets and quality goals.
Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to staff.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
Implement and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulations.
Develop and manage production budgets, controlling costs and optimizing resource utilization.
Provide regular reports on budget performance and variance analysis.
Collaborate with the maintenance department to schedule and perform routine equipment maintenance.
Ensure that production equipment is in good working condition to prevent downtime.
Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, research and development, and supply chain.
Communicate production goals, updates, and challenges to senior management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Science or a related field.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should have not less than 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical production, and proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
Must be Familiar with pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines (PCN, SON, NAFDAC) related to production processes.
Strong technical understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and equipment.
Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage production teams effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address production challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to different stakeholders.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
