Willers Solutions Limited - Our client, an integrated poultry farm with breeding operations and processing of commercial broilers. They offer Parent Stock of layer and broiler lines to other hatcheries in Nigeria and hatch and distribute commercial pullets and broilers and offer post-sales technical services to our customers.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and management for the finance and accounting team
• Drive the company’s financial planning and investment strategies considering cash and liquidity risks.
• Provide commercial insight and strategic business recommendations to the managing director and other members of the executive management team in order to achieve short-, mid- and long-term profitability goals
• Advise on long-term business strategy and provide data-driven recommendations for the breeder farms, commercial farms and all other operations i.e feed mill, hatchery & chicken slaughterhouse.
• Oversee the preparation of all financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports
• Own and manage financial forecasting and annual budget preparation processes
• Ensure budget discipline
• Ensure an enterprise risk and compliance management framework is embedded and implemented in the business strategy and operations for the farms
• Oversee risk management by continuous analysis of the organization’s liabilities and investments.
• Provide oversight function on procurement department with ultimate approval of all LPOs.
• Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices
• Contribute to the development and amelioration of financial systems/models.
• Ensure compliance with the financial laws and company policies.
• Manage tax accounting activities and tax audits to fulfil overall compliance in the area of direct and indirect taxation with internal and external resources and expert support.
• Ensure that all government returns such as corporate income tax, VAT returns etc. are duly prepared and submitted to the authorities
• Coordinate statutory audits
• Establish and maintain relations with key partners and other external stakeholders

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of working experience with the last 5 years in a senior management position.
• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any related field
• Membership of ICAN, ACCA, CFA or any other relevant professional accounting body
• Knowledge of IFRS is required.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office and financial management software (experience using Microsoft Dynamics Navision is an advantage)
• Enjoy working in a multicultural team with a drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges.
• Experience in a “breeder poultry” organization will be an added advantage
