Job Description

• As an Experienced Laundry Personnel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our laundry facilities.
• Your experience, attention to detail, and knowledge of laundry procedures in the hotel and hospitality industry will contribute to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Laundry Operations:

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron hotel linens, towels, and guest clothing following established procedures and guidelines.
• Operate laundry equipment, such as washing machines, dryers, and ironing presses, ensuring proper settings and maintenance.
• Inspect linens and garments for stains, damages, or wear and take appropriate action, such as spot treating or recommending replacements.

Inventory Control:

• Monitor and maintain an inventory of clean linens and towels, ensuring an adequate supply for guest rooms, restaurants, and other hotel departments.
• Coordinate with the housekeeping supervisor to identify any shortages or excesses and adjust production accordingly.
• Keep accurate records of laundry usage, linen counts, and any damages or losses.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that all laundered items meet established quality standards in terms of cleanliness, freshness, and presentation.
• Perform regular quality checks on laundered linens and garments to identify and address any issues or inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with the housekeeping team to resolve guest complaints or concerns related to laundry services promptly.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Clean and maintain laundry equipment regularly, following manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines.
• Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the housekeeping supervisor for timely repairs or replacements.
• Adhere to proper handling and storage of laundry chemicals and supplies, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other members of the housekeeping team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to address any issues, provide updates, and support a positive work environment.
• Assist in training new laundry personnel on procedures, equipment usage, and safety guidelines.

Experience & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hotel and hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of laundry procedures and equipment used in hotel housekeeping.
• Familiarity with different fabric types and appropriate care instructions.
• Excellent organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
• Physical stamina and ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures related to laundry operations.
