Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Edgebanding Machine Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate should have experience operating edgebanding machines and a keen eye for detail.
• The primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient and precise operation of edgebanding equipment, contributing to the production of high-quality finished products.

Responsibilities
Machine Setup and Calibration:

• Prepare and set up edgebanding machines according to job specifications.
• Calibrate machines to achieve precise dimensions and finishes.

Material Handling:

• Load raw materials onto the machine and monitor material levels throughout production.
• Ensure proper alignment and positioning of materials for accurate edgebanding.

Quality Control:

• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Make necessary adjustments to the machine settings to address any deviations.

Machine Operation:

• Operate edgebanding machines efficiently and safely.
• Monitor machine performance, making real-time adjustments as needed.

Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance on edgebanding machines to ensure optimal functionality.
• Identify and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other team members, including machine technicians and production staff, to optimize workflow.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.

Requirements
Educational Qualification:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Additional technical or vocational training related to machine operation is a plus.

Experience:

• Proven experience as an edgebanding machine operator or similar role.
• Familiarity with different types of edgebanding machines and their specifications.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job orders.
• Proficient in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of edgebanding machinery.

Attention to Detail:

• Keen eye for detail to ensure precision and quality in finished products.

Communication Skills:

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey machine-related information.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Stamina to stand for extended periods during machine operation.

Problem-Solving:

• Strong problem-solving skills to address machine issues and optimise production processes.
