Job Title: Geologist

Location: Jos, Plateau

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced geologist to join our team in Jos City.
• As a Geologist, you will play a key role in conducting geological surveys, analyzing data, and providing valuable insights for our projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological surveys and fieldwork to assess potential sites for exploration or development.
• Analyze geological data and samples to identify mineral resources, geological hazards, and environmental impacts.
• Prepare geological reports, maps, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive project planning and execution.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in geology and mineral exploration.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field. Advanced Degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in geological fieldwork and analysis.
• Proficiency in geological mapping, sampling techniques, and data interpretation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geological data.
• Experience with geological software and tools for data analysis and modeling.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with local geological formations and conditions in the Jos City area is an added bonus.
