Job Description
We are recruiting an Implementation Director to oversee supply chain, project management, and construction activities for CBE’s Telecom Energy Services (“TESCO”) business in Nigeria, that provides clean and reliable energy to the operators of telecom towers.
The Director will be responsible for managing the team tasked with deploying renewable-hybrid energy systems to several thousand sites, while meeting the expectations for schedule and budget.
You will leverage your deep expertise in project management, engineering, logistics, and team leadership to articulate a comprehensive implementation strategy and coach individuals leading each functional department to success.
This role will ultimately be responsible for ensuring CBE’s telecom energy projects remain on track for successful execution at each stage of development, from the successful signature of the contract to successful cutover to CBE’s Operations team for each tranche of site installations.

Primary Responsibilities
Overall project financial and technical delivery throughout project implementation (from contract signature to site commissioning and cutover), in line with the project’s overall budget, schedule, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
Create a plan to organize functional team leaders across CBE Telecoms Nigeria that allows for continuous tracking & evaluating of energy project deployment according to the client’s requirements.
Take a holistic view of commercial, technical, ESG, regulatory, and legal perspectives to identify project implementation obstacles and find solutions
Evaluate the technology stack in place to organize information related to project implementation. Identify gaps and communicate requirements to CBE Product team
Monitor project implementation risk, consulting regularly with project legal, regulatory, health & safety, and commercial experts to implement appropriate mitigation strategies quickly
Manage and develop CBE Telecoms Nigeria managers, prioritizing coaching and mentorship, skills growth, and instilling the confidence to take on new professional challenges
Identify high-quality equipment, construction, installation, security, and other partners to help CBE execute successfully on project deployment
Create and deliver compelling presentations detailing CBE’s implementation progress for clients and investors.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or other relevant field
7+ years of experience in project development, construction management, or infrastructure deployment, including 2+ years in an executive role
Understanding of common implementation challenges through all phases of telecommunications or distributed infrastructure construction
Demonstrable business financial understanding and budget experience of multi-million dollar complex projects
Applied understanding of Mobile Network Operators or TowerCos, and knowledge of industry standard commercial terms for client, supplier, and contractor agreements
A strong network among active power project developers, suppliers, and construction partners relevant to the telecoms or distributed energy industries, especially in Nigeria
Commercial skill to facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary project teams
Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and able to leverage Project Operations systems to manage large, complex problems effectively.
