Job Title: Diagnostic Excellence Specialist

Job Type: 2 year fixed term contract
The Position
Roche Pharma in Lagos is seeking a Diagnostic Excellence Specialist on a 2 year fixed term contract to play a critical role in the healthcare system by coordinating the collection, analysis, and management of cancer testing data.
This position combines the expertise of a laboratory scientist with a strong focus on evidence based decision-making and improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
Strategy Planning & Data collection:
Participate in a variety of cross-functional tactical planning meetings, reviews and discussions
As assigned, support the laboratory in collating accurate testing data, analyses, research and reporting to support the treating physicians in management of their patients
Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system/control and achieving quality objectives through daily actions
Medical/Clinical Expertise:
Delivers contemporary/continuing education workshops, seminars, and scientific information on Roche tests (Oncology) to clinical stakeholders
Participate in tumor board meetings and multidisciplinary discussions
As appropriate, support design and development of clinical trials, other studies and investigations
Coordinates continuing education workshops, seminars, and programs for physicians, laboratory technologists, and scientists
Stay updated on the latest developments in specified disease areas through continuing medical education and professional development
Communication:
Acts as the single point of contact from Roche for IHC tests and laboratory quality controls
Builds relationships and demonstrates the clinical outcome and clinical benefits of optimal diagnostic testing to Key Opinion Leaders
Collaboration:
Actively collaborate with cross functional teams and align to achieve business goals
Collaborate with oncology care stakeholders to facilitate the exchange of relevant information
Requirements
You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:
Medical Degree, or Bachelor Degree in related discipline
Minimum of 3 years working experience as or relevant experience in the pharma industry
Strong knowledge of cancer pathology and diagnostics.
