Description

• We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join the Dangote Group as the Head of our Coal Power Plant. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our coal power plant facility.

Job Summary

• As the Head of Coal Power Plant, you will lead a dedicated team in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the coal power plant.
• You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the plant's operations and maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies and plans to optimize the performance and reliability of the coal power plant.
• Ensure the plant operates efficiently and meets the power supply requirements of the company.
• Oversee the management of plant operations, including coal handling, boiler operation, turbine operation, and electrical systems.
• Manage a team of skilled professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
• Monitor and analyze plant performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Manage the budget for the coal power plant, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing resource utilization.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of the coal power plant operations with other plant activities.
• Stay updated on industry developments and technological advancements in coal power plant operation and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 30 years of experience in coal power plant operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of coal power plant equipment, systems, and processes.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in managing budgets and resources.
• Passion for safety, environmental sustainability, and continuous improvement.
