Job Title: Energy News Writer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Energy industry to deliver confident writing at multiple levels of sophistication.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of the energy market, including trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies, to deliver confident writing at multiple levels of sophistication.
• Monitor and report on key indicators affecting the energy sector, both locally and globally.
• Stay abreast of developments in the energy industry, including technological advancements, policy changes, and market dynamics.
• Provide regular updates on relevant news and events impacting the energy sector.
• Contribute energy-related content to support Nairametrics' editorial initiatives.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in English Language, Mass Communication, Journalism, Energy Management, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 1 years writing experience in a digital or print media is a must.
• Good command of English both in speaking and writing
• Effective story telling skills
• Proven experience in energy analysis or a related role in a media-related industry.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Familiarity with the Nigerian energy market and regulatory landscape.
