We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Officer, Middle Office

Purpose

• Valuation of all portfolios and performance reporting of sales and income attribution and ensuring investments are in conformity with laid down processes and procedures.
• Supporting efficiency of the risk management process by promptly identifying key  risks and working actively with the risk manager to resolve such risks. 

Approach:

• Constantly relating with other group members (front-office, back-office, custodian,  Asset Managers, Internal Control, and Compliance) and external stakeholders (Regulators, brokers).
• Validating checks on data and system inputs and ensuring correctness of all system  data and information.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all risk policies, processes, and limits with zero tolerance for breaches
• Maintenance of accurate data on all systems/platforms, inclusive of Instruments, 
• Clients, Trade, and uploaded prices for the purpose of fund valuations and reporting. 
• Execute corporate actions, distributions, and advising stakeholders of daily prices.
• Ensuring all transactions and cash flows for investments/deals have supporting documentation, and duly approved in line with laid down policies and processes.
• Position management of cash and exposures of all funds, and liaising with the Portfolio manager/relevant stakeholder, as promptly as possible. 
• Monitoring of concentration, liquidity, counterparty, and market limits for all funds, as provided in the risk management policies, trust deeds, investment committee decisions or/and regulators.
• Report renditions for all investment funds, products, and security transactions such as Imminent maturity, coupon payment trackers, mutual fund NAVs, income attribution analysis, risk metric, SBPR performance reports, Client service reports and yield analysis etc. This may include providing relevant reports to regulators as well. 
• Monitor and support the resolution of system/platform related issues.
• Act as liaison officer for the Front Office (PM, Client service), Back Office (Operations) and Finance to ensure all transactional discrepancies are promptly reconciled. 
• Any other activities, as maybe assigned by the risk manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Experience & Qualifications:

• Good academic background, minimum university degree or equivalent qualification. 
• Excellent command of written and spoken French and English.
• Highly motivated with broad understanding of the Middle Office functions and products
• Strong Excel skills and very good knowledge of Bloomberg. 
• Minimum of 3 years in trade support, Middle Office experience with knowledge of equity and fixed income securities. 
• Risk management experience will be a great consideration as well.
• Prior experience of Middle Office experience in a Bank or hedge fund arena or experience gained with a brokerage firm.
