Job Description

• An accountant in a laundry firm plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including income, expenses, and transactions related to laundry services.
• Use accounting software to record and organize financial data efficiently.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with management to create budgets for various departments and projects.
• Prepare financial forecasts to help the laundry firm plan for future expenses and revenue.

Financial Reporting:

• Generate regular financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Present financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas that may need attention.

Tax Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.

Audit Preparation:

• Facilitate internal and external audits by organizing and providing necessary financial documentation.
• Address any audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.

Expense Management:

• Monitor and control expenses to ensure they align with the budget and financial goals of the laundry firm.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements.

Cash Flow Management:

• Manage the company's cash flow to ensure there is enough liquidity to meet operational needs.
• Monitor receivables and payables to optimize cash flow.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.

Compliance and Regulations:

• Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Ensure the laundry firm's financial practices comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Financial Strategy:

• Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the long-term goals of the laundry firm.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• ICAN certification with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations.
• Experience in audit preparation.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 / Month.
