Job Title: Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management

The Role

• Flutterwave is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management to join our dynamic team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise risk management (ERM) framework to ensure the effective identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risks across the organization.
• This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the organization. 

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an enterprise risk management framework, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization.
• Lead the identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks, including operational, financial, strategic, and regulatory risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of emerging risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Conduct risk assessments and scenario analyses to evaluate potential business impacts and ensure appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place.
• Design and implement risk monitoring and reporting processes to provide timely updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in enterprise risk management to continuously enhance our risk management practices.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance risk awareness and foster a culture of risk management throughout the organization.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on enterprise risk management, providing guidance and support to internal teams and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of our enterprise risk management processes.

Required Competency and skillset to be a Waver

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA, CRM) preferred.
• Proven 8+ years' in enterprise risk management, preferably in the fintech industry or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, products, and regulatory requirements relevant to the fintech industry.
• Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing enterprise risk management frameworks and processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and develop innovative solutions.
• Hands on with data pulling, can draw and drive for actionable insights
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change initiatives.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing business needs and priorities.
