Job Overview

• We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Haulage Supervisor to oversee our transportation operations.
• The Haulage Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and materials, managing a team of drivers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transportation activities, including route assignments, scheduling, and dispatching of drivers.
• Monitor the performance of drivers and vehicles, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure they are well-maintained and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of cargo.
• Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs, fuel consumption, and maintenance reports.
• Analyze data and identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Train and mentor drivers on safe driving practices, company policies, and customer service standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including DOT regulations, weight limits, and hours of service requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation operations.
• Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting the haulage industry.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an OND, NCE, HND, or Bachelor's Degree with 2-5 years experience.
• Proven experience in transportation operations, with at least 2years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of drivers.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency in using transportation management software and GPS systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (preferred).

Salary
N50,000 - N70,000 / Month.
