Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations: The operations manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the company. This includes monitoring operational efficiency, ensuring productivity, and optimizing processes.
  • Develop and implement operational policies: They will work with senior management to develop and implement operational policies and procedures that align with the company's goals and objectives. This includes developing strategies to improve operational performance and efficiency.
  • Budget management: The operations manager will be responsible for developing and managing the operational budget. They will analyze financial data, identify areas of improvement, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Quality control: They will establish and implement quality control standards to ensure that products or services meet customer expectations. This includes monitoring performance, conducting inspections, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Team management: The operations manager will lead and manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance. They will provide guidance and support to team members, ensure effective communication, and promote a positive work culture.
  • Vendor management: They will work closely with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure the timely delivery of goods or services. They will resolve any issues or disputes that may arise and seek opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
  • Risk management: The operations manager will identify potential risks or obstacles to operations and implement strategies to mitigate them. This includes implementing safety protocols, disaster recovery plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree may be preferred but not always necessary.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in operations management or a related role is often required. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully managing operations and improving efficiency.
  • The candidate must have previous years of experience in the beauty/cosmetics industry.
  • Leadership skills: The operations manager should have excellent leadership and management skills to effectively lead and motivate a team. They should be able to delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and provide feedback and guidance.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Strong analytical skills are essential to identify operational issues, analyze data, and develop strategies for improvement. They should also possess excellent problem-solving abilities to address any challenges that may arise.
  • Communication skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to collaborate with different departments, manage team members, and negotiate with vendors. They should be able to clearly articulate ideas, motivate employees, and resolve conflicts.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in using various software, tools, and applications related to operations management is often required. This can include project management software, data analysis tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Industry knowledge: A strong understanding of the Beauty/Cosmetics industry in which the company operates is beneficial. This includes knowledge of industry regulations, trends, and best practices.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 / Month.
