Job Title: Technial Product Manager

Location: Yaba, Lagos (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-time

The Role

• This is a strategic role where you will work closely with the CEO and Engineering Manager to manage the continuous improvement and release of features for Mkobo.bank app that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.

Role Objectives

• Manage the product roadmap and backlog for all digital products
• Oversee and manage lead requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
• Partner with the executive teams to identify key capabilities needed as well as identifying potential issues
• Partner with cross-functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
• Partner with IT to manage the roadmap and backlog to ensure that IT delivers all capabilities on time and per expectation
• Work with product marketing to develop positioning and messaging to ensure differentiation from competitors
• Monitor and evaluate product performance to ensure constant product iteration and improvements

Responsibilities

• Manage the product roadmap and backlog for all digital products
• Oversee and manage lead requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
• Partner with the executive teams to identify key capabilities needed as well as identifying potential issues
• Partner with cross-functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
• Partner with Technology team to manage the roadmap and backlog to ensure that the team delivers all capabilities on time and per expectation
• Monitor and evaluate product performance to ensure constant product iteration and improvements
• Scoping and prioritizing activities based on business and customer impact.
• Driving product launches through collaboration with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members.
• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field+ MBA would be a plus
• You have 3 - 5 years of professional experience in a similar role with a solid experience in conceptualizing, developing, and launching products on time using a design thinking approach.
• Demonstrable experience working with Digital Banking products is highly preferred (eg internet banking, Faster payments, mobile apps, Blockchain etc)
• Consumer financial services industry experience and a strong understanding of Digital business, while experience with travel, lifestyle, or other consumer product development is a strong advantage.
• Strong product management experience in digital companies with a customer-focused, results-based approach and ability to deliver to deadlines.
• You have a solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Technical mindset, paired with strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills and the confidence in your experience to champion your ideas
• User journey design and customer testing across digital services.
