The GC7 project will be implemented in Gombe and Kwara state with the goal of providing end-to-end HIV comprehensive services in the 2 states through client centered facility-community based approaches.
In line with Global Fund (GF) strategy of working with and serving the health needs of people and communities to end AIDS, TB and Malaria, SFH will utilize the programme essentials for GC7 which include HIV primary prevention, HIV testing and Diagnosis, elimination of vertical transmission, HIV treatment and care, TB/HIV, Differentiated service delivery, and Gender and Human rights.
Job Profile
The STA Procurement and Supply Chain will take a leadership role in executing effective and efficient procurement and supply chain services on the GC7 project, ensuring project commodities reach the last mile at the right time and in the right condition.
He/she will also be responsible and accountable for the storage, distribution and reporting of all commodities (health and non-health) on the GC7 project
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Program Development and Planning:
Review and recommend for approval forecasts and supply plans for reagents and commodities from Gombe and Kwara.
Identify feasible intervention option aimed to strengthening the HIV/AIDs, TB and other disease areas supply system and improving access to care and treatment.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical guidance in establishing and maintaining standard in commodity management, distribution and documentation.
Develop and ensure implementation of quality control procedure and guideline for consistency and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Capacity Building and Training:
Provide training and support to employees on quality control procedures and standard of management, utilization and documentation of health commodities focusing on grant targeted populations.
Set up systems for products management, procurement and supply chain management (PSM) coordination.
Conduct regular supportive supervision and monitoring mechanisms to ensure effective utilization of Health products, commodities and integration of disease specific products in the system.
Monitor all drugs use regularly through the pharmacist in Gombe and Kwara with respect to adverse drug reactions for their efficacy, safety and quality.
Coordination and Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with key stakeholders internally and externally for network support, resources and best practices to enhance quality service delivery.
Provide clear continuous communication channels involving all the states PSM teams in decision making processes for grant improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess a B.Pharm, Medical Laboratory Scientist Degree or other related Sciences qualification is required.
MPH, MSCM will be an added advantage
Certification in Supply Chain Management is desirable.
6 to 8 years post NYSC relevant work experience in donor funded project.
Must possess specific experience in supply chain programming related to HIV/AIDS, TB and other disease areas.
Experience with Health supply chain management, commodity procurement, quantification, forecasting and familiar with product lines
Skills and Competencies Required:
Must have an outstanding organizational and coordination abilities in management of supply chain activities in project implementation states.
Knowledge of current national and global HIV treatment standard and licensure requirement.
Familiarity with Nigeria current national guideline for HIV prevention, treatment and care
Ability to work with minimal supervision, result oriented and a good team spirit to work with different people with cultural, religious background, lifestyle and sexual orientation.
A strong leadership experience in management of public health commodities.
Proficient in Microsoft 360, word processing, excel, Presentation applications.
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability of a good relationship management/ advocacy skills
A strong supportive/mentoring and supervisory skills
