Job Title: Account / Finance Officer

Location: Central Business District, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to oversee and manage all aspects of the company's finance operations, tax remittances, payroll processing and pay support for an Igaming/Betting Company.
• As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reports, payroll operations, adhering to regulatory compliance, and providing excellent support to the companies managers and employees.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Reconciling the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
• Analyzing reports on employee and organization monthly expenditures.
• Managing income and expenditure accounts.
• Generating the company's financial reports using income and expenditure data.
• Approve all financial transactions before project implementation
• Keeping a check on the company's finances based on financial status.
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company.
• Efficiently processing and managing the end-to-end payroll cycle, including data entry, validation, and reconciliation.
• Ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of salaries, bonuses, and other payments to employees.
• Staying updated on payroll laws and regulations related to the betting and gaming industry.
• Collaborating with HR and Operations teams to ensure seamless communication and integration of payroll processes.
• Utilizing payroll software and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Collaborating with IT to implement upgrades and improvements to payroll systems.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 - 5 years of experience working as an Accountant or Finance Officer in the Betting industry
• Possession of professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA or ACA will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Sage 50 or other accounting software.
• Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll processing and finance reporting.
• Analytical mindset to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues efficiently.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
