Junior Construction Site Engineer at Composite Building

Composite Building is a leading Building and Construction company based in Lagos with interest in Real Estate (residential, commercial, or industrial).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Junior Construction Site Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the supervision and coordination of all on-site construction activities.
• Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitoring project progress and identifying potential issues or delays.
• Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Conducting regular site inspections and quality control checks to verify compliance with project requirements.
• Assisting with the resolution of technical issues and conflicts that may arise during construction.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of site activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.
• Participating in site meetings and providing updates on project status and issues.
• Assisting with the preparation of project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, and submittals.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction or related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and construction management software.
