Job Title: Assistant Class Teacher (Infant School Section)

Job Description

• We are recruiting for the position of an Assistant Class Teacher(Infant Section). The ideal candidate must be a specialist in teaching EYFS and should maintain a positive attitude, be energetic about their role, and share a passion for learning themselves.

The job functions include but not limited to the following:

• Providing support to children with on an individual, class or small group basis
• Helping develop programmes of learning activities and to adapt appropriate materials
• Motivating and encouraging pupils
• Assisting with marking and correcting work
• Attending meetings and reviews
• Helping with school events, trips and activities
• Supporting and supervising educational games, sports and craft activities
• Helping children with their reading
• Preparing the classroom for a lesson (such as setting up equipment for a science lesson)
• Tidying up at the end of a session (they make the mess, you clear it up)
• Putting together displays of children’s work
• Providing extra support for children with special educational needs
• Helping out on school trips
• Safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people
• Perform any other duty as assigned

Requirements

• The preferred candidate must have a minimum of a B. Ed or B.sc in any discipline with PDE and TRCN.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years EYFS teaching experience.
• Must possess strong practical knowledge and skills in delivering lessons to students
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and be able to demonstrate a genuine care for young children.
• Must have good knowledge of both the British and Nigerian curricula.
• Ability to utilize technology in the teaching and learning process.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 / month Competitive.
