Job Title: Operation / Hotel Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Hotel Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the hotel to ensure smooth and efficient functioning across all departments. They are responsible for maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction, managing staff performance, and maximizing profitability. The Operations Manager collaborates with various departments to coordinate activities and implement strategies that enhance the overall guest experience.

Job Description

  • Develop and sustain long-lasting relationships with customers.
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the hotel's operational teams, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Maintenance, to ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of the hotel.
  • Manage the F&B account
  • Oversee the work schedule of all departments and ensure all staff adhere to the work schedule provided
  • Foster a culture of exceptional guest service by consistently monitoring and enhancing guest satisfaction scores and addressing any issues or concerns promptly
  • Supervise all staff Break periods and ensure all staff adhere to the schedule provided
  • Supervise the success of public impression and collaboration on all of DeFivez's social media accounts.
  • Oversee the proper stock-taking of all items
  • Manage the hotel's budget and financial performance, including revenue generation, cost control, and profitability analysis.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
  • Creation and implement Operational procedures for all De Fivez departments with the HR Team.
  • Train, and supervise DeFivez hotel staff, including setting performance standards, conducting regular evaluations, and fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Prepare regular reports on hotel occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
  • Provide reports to upper management on operational performance.
  • Collaborate with the HR Team on the recruitment and filling the workforce needs of the hotel as they arise.
  • Oversee inventory management and procurement processes to ensure adequate supplies and resources for the hotel's operation.
  • Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or as requested by the CEO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in hotel management or operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Solid understanding of hotel operations, including front office procedures, housekeeping standards, food and beverage service, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the job.
  • Certification in hospitality management or related fields (e.g., Certified Hotel Administrator) is a plus.

Salary
N150,000 monthly.
