About the Role

• We are seeking a fluent and enthusiastic Chinese/German Language Tutor to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing language instruction within a technical and vocational educational framework.
• You'll work with students aiming to develop language skills that support their chosen career paths, enabling them to communicate effectively with international partners, clients, or technical resources.

Responsibilities

• Customized Language Instruction: Design and deliver Chinese/German language classes tailored to the specific technical fields and career interests of our students.
• Vocabulary Development: Emphasize the acquisition of technical vocabulary, industry-specific terminology, and concepts relevant to the students' chosen specializations.
• Communication Skill Development: Focus on developing fluency in spoken and written Chinese/German, with an emphasis on practical communication skills needed for professional and technical settings.
• Cultural Awareness: Integrate cultural understanding of China/Germany into lessons, fostering students' ability to interact effectively within the cultural context of their chosen industry.
• Resource Creation: Develop supplementary learning materials, exercises, and activities that align with the technical and vocational focus of the school.
• Collaboration: Work closely with instructors in other technical subject areas to integrate language learning into their curriculum where appropriate.
• Assessment and Tracking: Monitor student progress through regular assessments to provide meaningful feedback and ensure learning objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with at least 4 years experience.
• Native or near-native fluency in Chinese/German.Certification or degree demonstrating this fluency is preferred.
• Teaching Background: Experience in language instruction, preferably within a technical, vocational, or adult education setting.
• Technical Understanding: A basic awareness of common technical fields (engineering, manufacturing, IT, etc.) is beneficial.
• Adaptability: Ability to adjust instructional methods and materials to suit diverse student backgrounds and learning styles.
• Cross-Cultural Competence: Understanding of Chinese/German culture and the ability to convey cultural nuances in a way that supports professional interactions.

Additional Desirable Skills:

• Experience using language learning software and technology in the classroom.
• Background in a technical field related to the school's specializations.

Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 / Month.
