Job Title: School Swimming Pool Lifeguard

Location: Atosin Idanre, Ondo

Description 

• We are seeking a responsible and vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety of students using our school swimming pool. You will be responsible for actively supervising the pool area, preventing accidents, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Actively scan the pool area and patrons for signs of distress or unsafe behavior.
• Enforce all pool rules and regulations, including proper attire, depth restrictions, and appropriate conduct.
• Prevent dangerous activities such as horseplay, diving in shallow areas, or running on pool decks.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, including water rescues and administering first aid/CPR.
• Maintain a clean and safe pool environment by reporting any maintenance issues.
• Assist with setting up and taking down pool equipment (e.g., lane lines, pool covers).
• Complete daily logs and reports documenting pool usage and any incidents.
• May assist with teaching basic swimming skills in beginner classes (depending on qualifications).

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields.
• Valid lifeguard certification with current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Experience working in an aquatic facility, preferably in a school setting, is a plus.
• Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in potentially stressful situations.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety.
• Prior experience working with children and adolescents is preferred

Salary
N70,000 - N150,000 monthly.
