Youngstars Foundation, KNOSK N100-a-daySchool Project Mission -to help children from poorest and underserved households as well as those who are out-of-school, especially girls to access and complete quality secondary school education that can enable them further their education, create sustainable livelihood and break the cycle of generational poverty.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Kuje, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing financial overview reports for inclusion in organization’s annual report.
• Responsible for developing where necessary and maintaining accounting/financial systems and accounting / financial policies for the organization and advising the Management on appropriate systems and policies and ensure that these are in compliance with legal requirements.
• Assist Administrative staff and management in preparation of funding proposals and budgets.
• Train other account Assistants and Admin Support
• Develop multi-year operational budgets by consolidating program budgets and plans into organizational budget.
• Prepare and present management accounts including Cash-flow projections to Management for meetings.
• Responsible for preparing financial reports for funders based on grant agreement requirements and submit to the Director.
• Monitor all expenditure and ensure that it is either according to approved budgets or correctly authorized as additional approved expenditure.
• Monitor payment of salaries, vendor receipts and ensure all deductions are accurate, paid and reconciled.
• Prepare all financial information for audit, liaise with auditors and supervise annual audit.
• Ensure that all transactions are well documented and documentations as well filed.
• Negotiate contracts and lease agreements related to office functions and submit to theAdmin.
• Responsible for computing monthly and annual PAYE and Withholding Tax.

Skillset Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 2-5 (or More) years’ experience.
• Out of the box thinker and a doer
• Excellent verbal and interactive communication skills.
• Good understanding of NGO accounting, Knowledge in managing School accounting will be an added advange.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Google Docs)
• Proficiency in accounting applications (Quickbooks and others)
• Ability to multi-task, respond rapidly and work without supervision.
• Have sense of detail, positive and team spirit.

Salary
N50,000 - N55,000 / Month.
